MemoryBoost Pro Editor's Review

'MemoryBoost Pro Manager' is supposed to help you optimize your computer's memory. The program offers many features ready to be set, in order to get the maximum from your computer's memory. In the statistics window you see a 'Memory snapshot' with a legend, which explains what every color represents, an 'Over time' statistic and an overview of your free, in use, and total memory. In the settings window, you can set the amount of the desired free memory (in percent). The detective window, allows you to see the programs running on your computer. Here you can set a sniper, which will automatically stop a selected program each time it starts.

If you use programs that need a large amount of memory to function, you can go to the 'Programs' window and select the program as well as the amount of memory you want to be cleared before this programs runs. You can even set the aggressiveness of the 'MemoryBoost Pro Manager' or the alert sounds played for every action.

The user interface is not very intuitive, but I think anybody can find out quickly how it works.

Pluses: Helps you free some memory.

Drawbacks / flaws: The amount of memory cleared is to small.

In conclusion: It's a nice program, but when I tested it I wasn't impressed by it. Many times, it cleared the amount of memory that was occupied by it, when the program started.
